NOTE FROM ZACH LITTLE - MICROSOFT PROGRAM MANAGER for 1394
Microsoft would like to encourage as many TA members as possible to attend this design seminar and interoperability workshop. Microsoft will be bringing our *new* 1394 stack, which includes 1394b support. We want to make sure our new stack is very stable and performs well before we ship it. In order to enable this, we need the support of our partners. Attendance at this event will allow you to work with our developers and test your hosts and devices against our latest driver. The more companies that attend, the more issues we can catch now while there’s still an opportunity to fix issues. Please strongly consider sending representatives from your company to help out the ecosystem!

Also, Monday we will be presenting around our 1394 plans, including the current plan of record for shipping 1394b support, as well as some updates on what we’ve changed in the new 1394 stack. There will also be opportunity to ask questions after the presentation.

Thanks and hope to see many of you in Munich!

Zach Little
