VISION 2008 to Feature Full Array of 1394 Products from TA Member Companies and Global Leaders
VISION 2008 is the premier event for machine vision and identification technologies from around the world. One third of visitors come from abroad. Some 40 nations are represented at the trade fair, held at Neue Messe in Stuttgart, Germany, November 4-6.
A group of leaders in FireWire technology will
exhibit at VISION 2008. 1394 Trade Association members in attendance include Hamamatsu in Hall 6, Booth B11; Newnex, in Hall 6, Booth B58; Olympus Optical, Hall 6, Booth A13; and Point Grey Research, in Hall 4, Booth A31. Sony will bring new 1394-equipped products to their location in Hall 6, Booth C33; Toshiba Teli will be in Hall 4, Booth B74; and Unibrain in Hall 6, Booth D72. Unibrain will show new 1394b industrial and OEM
cameras with long connectivity solutions using GOF optical repeaters,
CAT-5
repeaters, and new 1394b interfaces.
Also exhibiting 1394 products will be Allied Vision, in Hall 4, booth 33D; Basler, Hall 4, booth 52 and 59; Baumer Optical, Hall 4, booth D25; and igus, Hall 4, booth E32.
During the show, Joerg Clement, Point Grey's Manager of Business Development in Europe, will present a review of how FireWire digital cameras are
being used in the industry today, and discuss how Point Grey is leveraging the
current technology standards to create some truly innovative products.
Mr. Clement will also talk in-depth about how the latest FireWire
technology and specifications, such as 1.6 Gb/s FireWire and IIDC 1.32 and IIDC
2.0, will change the camera landscape and provide new opportunities
for reliable, high data rate imaging.
